In any season the view is fantastic. Gaze upon this gorgeous, open country with its towering views of the Cuddy and Hitt Mountains.

Midvale in June

Midvale village, whose name describes its location as the middle valley of the Weiser River, holds around 115 people within city limits (Midvale School District currently educates over 100 students in grades K-12 from around the area). At an altitude of about 2500 feet, it enjoys all four seasons. Spring and fall temperatures are generally moderate: lows in the 30-40s, highs in the 60-70s. Temperature extremes range from summer highs of over 100 degrees, to winter lows in the sub-zeros. Annual precipitation is about 20 inches, and snowfall is usually between 6 and 36 inches. Gardeners enjoy the growing season, which begins with the last spring frost around May 10th, to the first fall frost around September 15th. The Midvale area supports a number of ranches and small farms, whose primary products are cattle, hay, corn and silage.

This is a friendly village, where the service at the local market, post office, café, tavern and library includes warmth and welcome. The local volunteer fire department proudly hosts the annual Fourth of July Barbecue and Tractor Pull.
